International Scientific Conference Biogas Science 2009 science meets practice 02-04 December in Erding, Germany

Innovative, regenerative and climate sensitive –International Biogas conference at Erding highly topical

(08 December 2009) With about 250 participants from 29 countries from all 5 continents the Biogas Science 2009 meets its reputation as the first international scientific conference in Germany. In the biogas sector a considerable increase in research activity developed in the last few years.
For intense interlacing of knowledge the Bavarian State Research Centre for Agriculture (LfL), the German Biogas Association (FvB) and the Agency for Renewable Resources (FNR) organized the international Biogas Science 2009 at Erding. The overwhelming feedback and the internationality beyond the referents and the participants points out that the LfL filled a gap with the motto “science meets practice”. The referents presented latest results and developments from various scientific fields and discussed the relevance for the practice. The topics goes from raw materials and additives for biogas production, to efficiency of processes over to microbiology and molecular biology, analytics up to economical and ecological assessments.
